Introduction

Welcome to Betz Pools’ Service Terms and Conditions. These terms outline scheduling expectations, service standards, repair policies, site responsibilities, and related conditions for pool and spa services provided by Betz Pools.

Scheduling & Service Coordination

Scheduling: Services are scheduled within designated service windows. While our team carefully plans routes to serve clients efficiently, exact arrival times cannot be guaranteed due to routing logistics, weather conditions, and operational requirements.

Weather & Safety Conditions: Service may be postponed due to unsafe weather conditions including heavy rain, lightning, or freezing temperatures. When necessary, service will be rescheduled to the next available service window.

Cancellation & Rescheduling: Requests to cancel or reschedule service must be submitted before the close of the previous business day. Changes received after this time will be subject to a $75 Cancellation Fee.

Property Access: Clients are responsible for ensuring safe and unobstructed access to the pool area on the scheduled service date. Gates must be unlocked, pets secured, and access pathways clear. If access cannot be obtained upon arrival, a $75 No Access Fee will apply.

Service Standards

Water Level Requirement: The pool water level should be maintained at approximately mid-skimmer level prior to service. Low water levels may prevent equipment startup and may require an additional visit. If water must be added by Betz Pools to safely start the system, additional service charges may apply.

Pool Opening & Water Conditions: The condition of a pool at the time of opening may vary depending on winter conditions, debris levels, and water chemistry. Opening services initiate system start-up and water balancing; immediate water clarity cannot be guaranteed and additional circulation or service may be required.

Weekly Service Time: Weekly service visits are structured around a standard service time of approximately 45 minutes per property. When additional time is required due to pool condition, debris levels, or equipment issues, a $25 Service Fee may be applied.

Additional Visits: Additional visits required due to access limitations, improper water levels, equipment shutdown, excessive debris, or other site conditions may be subject to additional service charges.

Chemicals & Treatment Standards: Betz Pools uses only Betz-approved chemicals and treatment products as part of our service program. This ensures consistent water quality, equipment protection, and service standards.

Repairs, Equipment & Warranty

Authorization to Proceed with Minor Repairs: To maintain service efficiency and avoid additional service call fees, Betz Pools technicians may proceed with minor repairs, adjustments, or materials required to complete service up to a maximum value of $200 above and beyond the cost of the service visit being performed. For work expected to exceed this amount, the client will be contacted for authorization before proceeding.

Equipment Condition: Pool systems and equipment may develop issues following winterization or periods of inactivity. Betz Pools is not responsible for failures resulting from age, wear, freezing, or other pre-existing conditions. Any recommended repairs will be communicated to the client.

Warranty Coverage: Certain pools, equipment, or installations may be covered under Betz Pools workmanship warranties or applicable manufacturer warranties. Warranty coverage applies only to qualifying components and workmanship as defined in the original agreement or manufacturer warranty documentation.

Customer-Supplied Equipment & Materials: Betz Pools cannot guarantee the performance or reliability of equipment or parts supplied or previously installed by third parties.

Liner & Surface Conditions: Vinyl liners and pool surfaces may shift, age, or deteriorate during the winter season due to freezing temperatures, ground movement, or natural wear. Betz Pools is not responsible for liner tears, seam separations, wrinkles, or surface damage identified during or after opening when such conditions were not visible prior to winterization.

Property & Safety

Site Conditions: While Betz Pools technicians take care while servicing properties, Betz Pools is not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing site conditions.

Service Documentation: Betz Pools technicians may capture photos or video during service visits for documentation, quality assurance, training, and operational review.

Pool Safety Compliance: The pool owner remains responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable local safety regulations, fencing requirements, and municipal bylaws.

Acceptance

Acceptance of Terms: Scheduling service, submitting a service request, or permitting Betz Pools technicians access to the property constitutes acceptance of these Service Terms & Conditions.
