Awards

Betz has been judged by its peers for more than five decades. The record below is drawn from the original award sheets — the Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada’s national programme, the Art of Water Awards, and Landscape Ontario’s annual Landscaping Awards. In 2010 the company took 28 national awards in a single year, three times more than any other builder. In 2013 it took 27.

The three programmes

Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada

The national Design & Construction Awards, judged by category and pool type, awarding Gold, Silver and Bronze. This is where the volume sits — 28 awards in 2010, 27 in 2013, 15 in 2015.

Art of Water Awards

A separate programme running alongside the national medals in 2007 and 2008, using its own tiers — Diamond, Emerald, Ruby and Sapphire. A project could place in both.

Landscape Ontario

The Horticultural Trades Association’s annual Awards of Excellence, judging the whole property rather than the pool alone. Nine Awards of Excellence in 2014, plus the Casey van Maris Award.
